3rd Grade Update: 5/17 - 5/21

As per usual the third grade has finished our math book a couple weeks early.  We will have our final test from the textbook on Tuesday, after that we will be doing supplemental work and review.  We've also been doing "lunch bunch' which was originally to help students who needed a little more work on their math facts.  Due to popularity we've expanded it a bit and have opened it even to some of our students who go up to 4th grade math.  We're doing our "cubes" through 12, and even times a number by itself 4 times, 1 - 1, 2 - 64, 3- 81, 4 - 256, 5 - 625 ... 10 - 10,000.  Some of the students still need work on their primary triangle math facts - it all starts there!

Spelling: Unit #34 Words ending with "er" or "le": Mon/Pretest (corrections 10x) Fri/Test (corrections 25x)

Writing Assignment:"Write an Interview" - Tues/Bullets, Weds/Rough Draft, Fri/Final Copy

Math: Lessons; Final test Tuesday, then supplemental work

Science: Chapter 14 "Heat, Light and Sound" test Thursday

History: "The Thirteen Colonies"

Religion: Chapter: #28 "Our Life in the Church"- Test Friday

Specials: "P.E." - Weds & Fri.; "Spanish" - Mon, Wed, and Thurs; "Music" - Tues and Fri: Art and Library - Fri
