March 15-19
Mill City Museum
Friday the students went on a wonderful trip to the Mill City Museum. We learned about the history of Minneapolis, about the beginning
industry of the area, how to mill flour, how water is used to generate power, and about baking and culture. This was a day filled with fun
and learning.
Geography Bee
The students were given a study guide to prepare for the Geography Bee. We will be having the preliminary bee in our classroom this week. The students will be focusing on the United States and siginificant world features. Good luck students! They are all winners because they have all been learning more geography.
Stations of the Cross
The students have been taking turns reading the different stations of the cross. We had presented the stations last week, and will do them again this week. The students are taking an active part in the stations to make it more meanningful and real. The students have put such great effort and meaning into it.
Read to Win
The students have been awarded the second level prize in the Read to Win program. They have read over 200 chapter books toward their goal of 500. They have a long way to go, but I know they can do it. Keep up the great reading!
