April 12- April 16

This week in Fifth Grade:

We will spend most of our academic time this week taking standardized tests. As parents, the best way you can help them do well on these tests is to make sure that they come to school well rested.  I would also encourage you to send a good healthy snack each day; nourished brains can think better!  We will keep homework as minimal as possible all week.  There will be no required Independent Reading minutes or Religion memory verse or prayer this week.  There will still be Spelling book pages and a Spelling test over Unit 28.  The Spelling book pages will not be due until Friday.  There will be extra time given during Math to complete homework.

The time we have this week not spent on taking standardized tests, will be used to reflect on the great celebration of Easter, or used to finish our historical research papers.  Their papers will be come home next Monday, April 19 and they will have a week to type them.

Have a Beautiful Week in this great Season of Easter!
