March 15-19
We had a wonderful time on our fireldtrip to Mill City Museum. We will take time on Monday to review the role the Mill played in the history of Minneapolis. It has been a true blessing to pray with your children during this Lenten season. Each day we have reflected on one station of the cross. I asked them one day which station gave their heart the most sorrow to reflect on; their answers were so honest and purehearted. It is no wonder Jesus hears the prayers of children!
This week in Fifth Grade:
Religion- As we conclude Chapter 17, we will discuss Jesus' human nature and divine nature. In Chapter 18, we will learn how he was rejected by the proud of his day; Pharisees, Sadducces, Scribes, and Zealots. We will reflect on how Jesus is rejected in our day.
Reading/Writing- We will continue to read about our historical figures and make note cards. 100 Independent Reading minutes are due Friday.
Spelling- Unit 26 Spelling book pages are due Thursday. The Unit 26 Spelling test is on Friday.
Math- We will have a test over Unit 9 on Tuesday.
Science- A study guide over The Water Cycle and Weather will come home on Tuesday evening. The test will be on Thursday.
