March 29- April 1

Welcome to fourth quarter!  Report cards will be sent home on Thursday.

This week in Fifth Grade:

Religion-  I am so happy to be able to spend these last days of Lent together as a class.  This week our lessons are on the acceptance by Jesus of the Father's will, and Jesus, the Perfect Sacrifice.  We will look up accounts of sacrifices  in the Old Testament and find who was the priest offering the sacrifice and what was the offering or victim  of the sacrifice.  We will learn that Jesus is both priest and victim.

Our last memorized Bible verse for Lent needs to be taken from one of the prophets.  The students will present these to their classmates on Thursday.

Reading-  In our work on our Historical figure this week, we will organize our notecards and turn them into beautiful paragraphs.  80 Independent Reading minutes due on Thursday.

English- Subject pronouns

Spelling- Unit 27 Spelling book pages and Unit 27 Spelling test due on Thursday.

Science- Earth's oceans
