March 8-12

We are looking forward to our class fieldtrip to Mill City Museum on Friday.  Thank you to all of the parents who have volunteered to chaperone.  The students will need a small morning snack and a disposable lunch on Friday.  Thank you!

This week in Fifth Grade:

Religion-  The students did a beautiful job orally presenting miracle stories of Jesus last week.  They pretended that they were an eye witness and wrote a news report on the miraculous event.  It was interesting to see how many miracles of Jesus are recorded; each student was able to report on a different miracle.  Their memorized bible verse for Friday needs to come from the book of Psalms.

Science-  Observing weather patterns

English- We will conclude our unit on punctuation and will have a test on Thursday.

Reading-  We will begin reading our sources and writing notecards on our historical figures.  100 Independent reading minutes due Friday.

Math-  Lessons 86-89

Spelling- Unit 25 Spelling book pages due Thursday and Unit 25 Test on Friday.

Have a beautiful and holy week!
