May 17-21

It is hard to believe that we are so close to the end of the school year;  only three weeks remaining.  The students worked so hard this past week on all of their studies.  I was very proud of them!

This week in Fifth Grade:

Religion-  During these last few weeks, we will be doing some special lessons using our Bibles.  We will especially focus on treasures of the faith found in the Gospel of St. John.  The students need to know the 20 mysteries of the Rosary by Friday.

English-  We will begin the week studying adverbs and move into prepositions by the end of the week.

Reading-  We will be reading and writing poetry.  May 26 will be our classroom Poetry and Punch party where the students will recite their individual poems for their classmates.  100 Reading minutes are due by Friday.  This will be the last week that independent reading minutes are required.
