May 24-28

This week in Fifth Grade:  

It should be a great week with a trip to Boca Chica Restaurant on Thursday and Track and Field Day on Friday!

Religion-  This week in Religion we will be learning the names of the books of the Bible. The students will need to know the New Testament books by name in order by Thursday.

Reading-  This past week we had a great time reading and studying the treasures of the Gospel of St. John.  The students will take a test over this material on Monday, May 24.  Please ask your child to share some of these treasures with you.  Our Poetry and Punch party is on Wednesday, May 26.  I am looking forward to hearing all of their poems.  No Independent Reading minutes are required for the last two weeks of school, but the kids can feel free to read for fun anyway!

Spelling-  We finish up our Spelling book this week with Unit 35.  Spelling books and Unit 35 Test will be Thursday.

English-  We will be having our last English test over Adverbs and Prepositions on Wednesday. They will have a test preparation homework on Tuesday evening.

Science-  We will finish the year on the Unit, The Earth, The Moon, and Beyond.

Math- We will not have Math lessons for Fifth Grade Math Students on Thursday due to our trip to Boca Chica, or on Friday due to Track and Field Day.
