Advent Season
The season of Advent is already with us. This season is a time of penance, preparation, and waiting, mixed with the joy of the coming of our Lord.
During the Advent season, the Spanish class will begin each class with the lighting of the Advent candle(s) and the prayer below:
"Señor, en este tiempo de Adviento encendemos esta vela. Queremos estar despiertos y vigilantes, porque Tú traes la luz más clara, la paz más profunda y la alegría más verdadera. ¡Ven, Señor Jesús! ¡Ven, Señor Jesús!"
("Lord, in this time of Advent we light this candle. We want to be awake and vigilant, because You bring the clearest light, the deepest peace and the truest joy. Come, Lord Jesus! Come, Lord Jesus!")
