Week of October 19th
Spanish Schedule
Every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Please, remind your daughter/son to take the Spanish worksheets home, to study and practice, every time they receive one, (practically every class).
1st Grade
-We will continue to practice “salutations”, “what’s your name?” and “how are you?”
e.g. ¡Hola! ¿Cómo te llamas? (Hi! What’s your name ?
Me llamo _________ (My name is _________ )
¿Cómo estás? (How are you? )
Muy bien. ¡Gracias! (Very well. Thanks!)
-We keep on working on "Los números". (numbers) 0-10
The students will be taken home flashcards with the numbers. Please, practice the numbers with them. (Not in sequence!)
-This week I will introduce “Patricia” and “Gordo”. (Patricia is a fish. It’s orange and very small. “Gordo” is a cat. It’s yellow and medium size)
2nd Grade
We will start writing about the characters “Patricia” and Gordo”. The students will have a worksheet to take home. Please, make them practice reading the story.
3rd Grade
-By now, each student should be ready to present his/her personal story to the rest of the class. A few students have already presented theirs. They did a wonderful job!
-We will start with “Formas” (shapes).
El círculo (circle), el cuadrado (square), el triángulo (triangle), el óvalo (oval), and el rombo (diamond)
4th Grade
- “El otoño” (Fall) . (Weather, holidays, months)
Take home this week worksheets to study and practice spelling.
5th Grade
-Verb “to do”. (hacer)
¿Qué haces tú en el verano/ en el invierno? (What do you do in Summer/in Winter?)
Study the two worksheets by the end of the week.
-New this week: “La Familia” (The Family)
