    • The schedule for Catholic Schools Week includes varied and fun activities.  Each day there will be a Catholic Schools Trivia Question chosen from eight questions given to students to research
    • The kick off for Catholic Schools Week begins this Sunday, January 31. All students are invited to meet Mrs. Coone after the 9 and 11 Masses at the back of church on Sunday to hand out pens and a thank you prayer to Holy Family parishioners.  Come dressed in your uniforms so you're noticed amidst the crowd of people. An important flourescent green flyer went home with students on Friday which has the schedule for the week and on the back are the Catholic Schools Week Trivia Questions.  Every day, students will have the opportunity to put their name in a drawing for a small prize if they know the answer to the question of the day.
    • The All-School Service Project this year is to help blanket the poor in our area and EVERYONE'S HELP IS NEEDED!!!  Mr. Allan Law, a retired school teacher, ministers to the Twin Cities homeless by handing out over 500 peanut butter sandwiches and as many blankets as possible every night on the streets of Mpls.  We are helping him by collecting clean, old, new, large, and small blankets.  Our goal is to collect 500 blankets so search your closets, attics, and storage rooms.  Blankets can be brought in each day during Catholic Schools Week. For information about Mr. Law, see the Star Tribue article and video by clicking here:     http://www.startribune.com/video/69371657.html    Top

Illness Update

There have been several students who have recently had the stomach flu at Holy Family Academy.  Reminder: students are not allowed to return to school until they have been symptom free without medication for 24 hours from the last incident.  This means that if they have a fever over 100, vomit, have diarrhea or an unexplained rash, they need to stay home for 24 hours once they are symptom free without medication.  We will send students home who return school before the 24 hours is up.  This is a Minnesota Department of Health recommendation and mandated by the St. Louis Park Health Department.  It is a protection for other students as well as a benefit for those who are ill to be able to recover.  Top
