Together! Groups

Together! is coming to Holy Family.  There are two groups for moms forming:
  • One group will meet every other Tuesday from 9 - 11:30 am at Holy Family Church starting March 16.  Email Kristen Toste (mother of 3rd grader Francesca and 2nd grader Christian) at kristin_toste@yahoo.com within the next week so that the books can be ordered.  Childcare will not be available for this group.
  • The second group will meet every other Monday at 1:15 pm in Ann Karel's home starting March 15.  Email Ann Karels (mother of a bunch of HFA kids) at a.karels@yahoo.com if you are interested in this group.  Child care by two responsible teens will be available for a free will offering.
In a small, safe, team-like setting, we will dive into church documents on marriage, family and prayer; form new friendships and learn so much together.  Friends are welcome to join too!

Vocations Week at Holy Family Academy

We are pleased to celebrate Vocations Week at Holy Family Academy March 1-5. Some of our events include:
  • Monday:  Students will receive a "Pray for Priests" wristband that they will be asked to wear daily through Easter as a reminder to stand in the gap for our priests and pray for them daily; they will also watch the video, Fishers of Men.  We will have the kick off to "Vocations Trivia" which will go throughout the week.  Students will have the opportunity to study facts about vocations and enter their name into a daily drawing. Thank you to our Holy Family Academy PTO for purchasing the "Pray for Priests" wristbands for our entire student body.  Once again, the PTO is there for us, bolstering whatever the needs may be of our student body and staff.  God bless our PTO!
  • Tuesday:  Fr. Beaudette and Fr. Dufner will visit with the students to talk about their call to the Priesthood.
  • Wednesday:  Adoration and prayer before the Blessed Sacrament following Mass; parents are welcome to join us as we pray for our priests.  9 hour Novena for the Priesthood will begin with our morning announcements and be prayed as a school every hour.  Students will be asked to complete the 9th hour at home with their family.
  • Thursday:  Seminarians visit with students to talk about the priests that inspired them and led them to the priesthood.
  • Friday:  Seminarians visit with students to talk about how we are all called to discern our vocation.

We also need sponsors--sponsors can contribute financially or provide snacks or water for our students.  If you know of an organization or person that would be willing to help, please let us know. The cost for the day is $4 per student or $15 max per family; additional funds are welcome to help those families who can not pay.  Please use this form to make payment and to sign up to volunteer by April 1 Top

Parent/Student Handbook

Our 2009-2010 Parent Student Handbook can be found in its entirety on our web page under Parent Resources.  Please take some time to familiarize yourself with how to access the information it contains.  It is especially helpful when wondering about uniform, homework, absentee, and discipline policies. Once you have reviewed the Handbook, please sign the Proof of review and recognition of 2009/2010 Parent/Student Handbook form and turn it into the school office.   Top
